Something Wrong With Your Order?
First of all, we're really sorry.
While every ABIS product goes through multiple quality checks before leaving our workshop, mistakes can occasionally happen. If you've received:

Simply let us know within 24 hours of delivery and we'll make it right. In fact, the sooner you tell us, the easier it is for us to catch the courier trail and resolve things quickly.

Our young (and slightly obsessive 😄) team has spent countless hours photographing products, writing detailed descriptions, measuring every pocket, and answering every question we can think of, all to help you make the right choice.
But hey, we're all human. Sometimes a product may look different in your imagination, or perhaps you simply change your mind. No worries. We're a friendly bunch. If you'd like to exchange your product, we'll be happy to help.
One exchange is permitted per order. Return shipping charges will apply.
The product must be unused and returned with all original tags and packaging intact.

Why Don't We Offer Cash Refunds?

Unlike large marketplaces, every ABIS product is handcrafted in small batches and made possible through the work of artisan communities across India.
As a small independent brand, cash refunds make it difficult for us to maintain fair and consistent work for the people behind every product.
For this reason, eligible returns are issued as store credit, which can be used anytime on our website.
Why do we ask you to contact us within 24 hours?
Not because we're trying to make life difficult 😊
We simply want to act quickly while the courier shipment is still traceable and any issues can be resolved smoothly.

Every ABIS product carries a little bit of human touch. The crafts we work with are often centuries old, created by artisans using traditional techniques that no machine can truly replicate. This means you may occasionally notice slight variations in print placement, texture, or colour.

1. How much does the bag weigh, and how much can it comfortably carry?
At just around 500-750 grams, our bags are thoughtfully designed to feel lightweight without compromising on strength. Built with extra-thick reinforcements, structured padding, and durable construction, each bag has been tested to comfortably carry up to 10 kg (for totes, travellers and backpacks) and 2-3 Kg (for te smaller bags/slings) with ease — so whether it’s your laptop, essentials, or everyday extras, this bag is built to keep up.
2. When will my order be delivered?
All our products are ready in stock and are typically dispatched the next business day (Monday–Friday). In case of holidays, dispatch takes place on the next working day.
We work with trusted logistics partners like BLUEDART and DELHIVERY, and most orders are delivered within 2–5 working days depending on your location and pin code. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email with live tracking details so you can track it every step of the way. 3. How is this bag vegan and sustainable?
We believe sustainability goes beyond just materials — it’s about the entire journey of how a product is made.
Vegan: We use high-quality faux leather and do not use animal leather in any part of the bag. Our handcrafted fabrics and kilims are made using cotton materials and natural dyes, while the inner lining is soft cotton with premium-quality fittings throughout.
Sustainable: Every craft element is sourced directly from artisans across India without middlemen, and each bag is handcrafted by skilled bag makers in Dharavi, Mumbai. By ensuring ethical sourcing and fair wages, every ABIS bag supports genuine livelihoods while celebrating Indian craftsmanship responsibly.
4. Does the bag come with a warranty?
Because our bags are handcrafted and not mass factory-produced, we do not offer a conventional warranty. However, we take immense pride in using premium-quality materials, strong reinforcements, durable fittings, and rigorous multi-stage quality checks to ensure every product is built to last. Our focus is simple — creating a product you can trust and carry confidently for years.
5. What size laptop fits inside?
The totes are designed to comfortably fit laptops up to 14 inches, including:
- 14” MacBook Pro
- 13” MacBook Air
- 13” iPad Pro / Air
- 11” iPad Pro / Air
They also accommodates most universal laptops up to 14” in size.
The laptop traveller - upto 15 inch laptops.
Backpacks can accomodate upto 17 inch laptops.
6. How do I care for my bag?
A little care goes a long way in helping your bag look beautiful for years.
We recommend regularly airing out your bag and avoiding long-term storage in closed wardrobes or plastic bags, especially in damp conditions. For everyday cleaning, simply wipe it with a dry or damp cloth. For tougher stains, use mild soap or detergent gently. Please do not machine wash, as this may affect the bag’s structure and shape.
7. What is your return or exchange policy?
As an artisanal and handmade brand, we encourage mindful purchases and aim to provide detailed product descriptions and images to help you make the right choice.
However, if you’re not satisfied, we do offer exchanges in most cases (minus logistics costs). While we do not offer cash refunds, we’re happy to provide product exchanges or store credits that can be used on future purchases. 8. Will my bag look exactly like the product photos?
We make every effort to showcase our products as accurately as possible through detailed photography. However, because each bag is handcrafted and artisanal, slight variations in print placement, colour tone, or handcrafted detailing may occur.
These subtle differences are a part of what makes every piece uniquely yours. The overall design, structure, dimensions, and core materials will remain exactly as shown.
9. Are these bags suitable for everyday office use?
Absolutely — our totes and laptop bags were thoughtfully designed to balance artisanal elegance with everyday practicality. With a padded laptop compartment, multiple organizational pockets, dedicated bottle holders (only in the totes), lightweight construction, and spacious interiors, our everyday bags were built to transition seamlessly from office hours to after-hours. Whether it’s work, meetings, coffee runs, or daily commuting — this is one bag designed to keep up.
10. What happens if I receive a damaged or wrong product?
While such cases are extremely rare, if you do receive a damaged or incorrect product, we will replace it promptly on priority — no unnecessary hassle. Simply email us at care@abigindianstory.com, and our team will take care of the rest.
